Connect Cursor Background Agents to automate project work without leaving Korey. Hand off a task, then watch which agents are running and where they’re at.
What you can do
- Hand off work to Cursor Agents directly from a Korey thread.
- See which agents are running and track their progress.
- Loop agent output back into the conversation that started it.
- Run tasks locally in Cursor Editor instead of a background agent.
Setup
- Open Settings → Connectors → Cursor.
- Paste your Cursor User API Key. Cursor connects to individual user accounts via User API Keys.
Cursor Editor as a local agent
Prefer to run the task on your own machine? Cursor Editor can also act as a local coding agent, separate from Background Agents:
- Open Settings → Connectors and find Cursor Editor under Local Coding Agents.
- Enable it. Cursor Editor runs on your machine, so there is nothing to connect.
Delegate a task to Cursor Editor and Korey copies a ready-to-run command carrying the full task prompt. Paste it into a terminal to open the task on your machine.
