Changelog

Release notes for Korey, in reverse chronological order.

Brand-new docs site

New docs site at korey.ai/docs launched today.

  • Full-text search via +K
  • Every page has a Copy page action — copy as Markdown for LLMs, view as plain text, or open in Korey to ask questions about it.

Email Identities

We’ve added Email Identities so Korey recognizes users across the different email addresses they might use in other connected tools.

Improvements

  • Refined thinking-block styling to reduce visual noise and improve readability.
  • Fixed the feedback comment window (thumbs up/down on messages) so the Submit button is visible without scrolling.

A refreshed look

Korey is evolving to uniquely support your team’s collaboration, and we realized our look should evolve too. The new look extends through light and dark modes, with more themes coming soon.

Feel particularly attached to the old theme? Head into Settings → Preferences and set your theme to Legacy.

Bug fixes & improvements

  • Migrated the Devin connector from the v1 to v3 API for the new token format and service-user authentication.
  • Prompt and data accuracy — prevent hallucinated counts by requiring total fields and pagination, tighten owner-resolution and story-type guidance, and improve status-analysis accuracy.
  • Improved accessibility and focus states so keyboard users can see which element has focus.
  • Incremental upgrades — 7× faster client-side index construction, 2× faster backfills, distributed tracing, replica metrics, and numerous bug fixes.

Organization Memories

Save Memories for your entire team. Ask Korey to remember rules, structures, and other constants, and they’ll be applied to context across all the users in your organization.

Korey Extension

Chat with Korey directly on any webpage without switching tabs. Activate the floating chat panel on any page and ask questions, get summaries, or take actions — all in context. Download the extension.

Code Context

Korey’s GitHub connector is now expanded to your code repositories. Perfect for understanding unfamiliar codebases, planning tasks based on your actual code, debugging, and onboarding new team members.

Slack connector

Capture ideas, bugs, and requests right in Slack. @mention Korey to turn conversations into dev-ready work without switching tools or losing context.

Slash command menu for faster prompts

Type / in the chat input to quickly access your recently used prompts and the prompt library.

Bulk edit on the All Chats page

Managing your chat history just got easier — you can now select multiple chats and delete or archive them in bulk.

All Chats page

View, search, and manage all of your Korey conversations in one place. The All Chats page lets you search through your chat history, filter by specific users, and quickly find the conversation you need.

Improvements

  • Korey can now create and update Epics with owners specified.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused duplicate “Co-authored with Korey.ai” lines at the end of Stories when editing.
  • Improved readability of Slack thread imports by italicizing “Created in Slack from this message.”
  • Removed a brief 404 error flash that could appear after deleting a thread.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking Add connector on a disabled Shortcut connector incorrectly triggered the auth flow instead of enabling the existing connector.

Work with Shortcut Docs in Korey

Korey can create, search, summarize, and update Shortcut Docs.

Ask Korey to draft release notes by summarizing what’s been released, then create a Shortcut Doc to share with your team.

Improvements

  • Improved awareness of AI coding-agent integrations (Cursor, Devin, Jules), making it easier to work with these tools from Korey conversations.
  • Korey can better answer questions about its own features, including file-upload types, keyboard shortcuts, and available integrations.
  • Implemented a comprehensive evaluation system for iterating on Korey’s system prompts.

Bug fixes

  • Resolved an issue where Korey wasn’t properly recognizing its GitHub Issues integration capabilities.
  • Corrected intermittent loading errors that prevented some entities from displaying until the page was refreshed.
  • Fixed branch-name formatting where owner initials weren’t lowercased, causing inconsistent branch names.
  • Fixed an issue where initial messages sent to Korey from Slack could cause failures.

Upload images

You can now add images and screenshots directly in your chat with Korey.

Stop describing what you’re seeing — just show Korey. Upload a UI bug, snap a photo of a whiteboard, or share an error message. Korey understands the visual context and uses it to generate clearer Stories, Issues, and specs.

Click the image icon in chat, or drag and drop, to get started.

AI coding agent handoff

Korey now connects to your coding agents — Cursor, Devin, and Jules. Define requirements, refine specs, and hand off implementation work without switching tabs or tools. Move from idea to spec to PR faster than ever.

How it works

  • Define your requirements with Korey — get the story details right, flesh out acceptance criteria, clarify edge cases.
  • Hand off with one sentence — “Send this to Cursor”, “Have Devin build this”, or “Hand off to Jules.”
  • Monitor progress in real time — click the agent link and watch the coding session unfold.
  • Track PRs instantly — no more guessing what your agent’s doing; it’s all right there in Korey.

Inline name and description edits

Edit names and descriptions from the preview pane in your Korey chat. Make quick updates across Stories, Sub-tasks, Epics, Iterations, and Issues right where you’re working.

Interrupt Korey

You can stop Korey mid-reply whenever you want. If you sent a request too early, missed a detail, or simply have enough information, click Stop or use ⌘ X to cut off the response and redirect the conversation.

Bug fixes

  • Combobox components now open and close correctly.
  • Corrected an issue that caused a login popup to persist.
  • Fixed an issue where the Other Chats search dialog disappeared while typing.
  • The warning dialog now behaves correctly when a chat is deleted from the command menu.

Cursor connector

Korey can hand off tasks directly to Cursor Background Agents, turning your specs into execution without extra steps. See what each agent is working on and how it’s progressing — as agents push projects forward, everything stays visible and organized inside Korey.

Use Korey to

  • Assign work to Cursor agents so they can pick up tasks and move projects forward.
  • See which agents are running and track their progress.
  • Manage automated agent work from Korey to keep everything organized.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that disabled Home page prompt-example buttons after the first click.
  • Resolved an error that caused a blank page and “invalid state” message when connecting Korey from Shortcut.
  • Remaining-interactions count no longer shows an incorrect value after 317 uses.
  • Fixed an issue where Korey could overwrite Story details when moving it to a new workflow state.

Private Chats

Not every idea is ready to share. You can now make your Korey conversations private while you’re still refining them, or keep them visible to your whole team.

Writing Style settings

Make Korey sound more like your team. You can now fine-tune how Korey writes with new Writing Style settings:

  • Tone — choose Casual, Neutral, or Formal so Korey matches your preferred voice.
  • Level of detail — set responses to Concise, Standard, or Descriptive.
  • Output format — add examples or instructions so Korey structures answers exactly how you want.

Web Search

Korey can now search the web to add fresh information directly into your work. Whether you’re defining requirements, comparing frameworks, or gathering research for a spec, Korey finds and summarizes relevant results so your team can move faster.

Improvements

  • Navigation:
    • The search bar in the navigation panel is now pinned to the top for easier access.
    • Clicking the Korey logo now takes you home; the organization switcher moved to your profile menu, and “Documentation” is now labeled “Help Docs.”
  • Added success toasts to confirm when a Shortcut connection is added, enabled, or disabled.

Bug fixes

  • The GitHub toast now only shows once, regardless of whether the button is clicked.
  • Corrected the URL shown in Settings → Organization Profile.

  • Resolved timezone issues for the Asia/Calcutta timezone.
